The Department of Computer Science in the Physical Sciences Division at the University of Chicago invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is a broad area search, particularly inviting applicants from all subareas of Computer Science and Engineering, with specific interest in Robotics and Systems.

UChicago is undertaking a multi-year effort to expand computing, data science, and AI activities, providing junior faculty an opportunity to shape the department’s future trajectory. The Department is housed in a new, state-of-the-art building designed to foster collaboration and experimentation.

Teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students

Completion of all requirements for a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is required at the time of appointment.
