Position Overview

The Department of Computer Science seeks three (3) Assistant Professors in Computer Science. Candidates should have research and teaching interests that complement and enhance the department’s strengths.

Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Establish innovative, independent research programs at an international level

  • Obtain and maintain externally funded competitive research programs

  • Contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring

  • Engage in departmental, faculty, and university service


Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science or a closely related area

  • Demonstrated research excellence (top-tier publications, presentations, awards)

  • Evidence of teaching excellence (teaching dossier with statement, syllabi, evaluations)

  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in research, teaching, and service

  • Experience or potential to contribute to a diverse student body is highly valued


Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research and maintain high scholarly standards

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses

  • Supervise and mentor students

  • Contribute to curriculum development

  • Engage in departmental and community service

  • Promote EDI and foster a collegial, inclusive environment
