Position Overview:
Florida Tech invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Biomedical Engineering. While primarily aimed at the Assistant Professor level, exceptional candidates may be considered for Associate Professor. The typical responsibilities are 40% teaching, 40% research, 20% service.
Responsibilities:
Develop undergraduate and graduate teaching programs with a commitment to excellence
Establish a nationally recognized and externally funded research program
Contribute to departmental, institutional, and professional service
Areas of Interest:
Broad biomedical engineering research
Strongly encouraged: Biomechanics, Biofluid mechanics, Medical Device Design, Bioinstrumentation, Bio-Imaging, Neuroengineering
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field
Commitment to teaching, research, and service
Ability to work collaboratively in an inclusive environment
