Assistant or Associate Professor in Programming

The University of St.Gallen is in the process of building up a new School of Computer
Science with an innovative emphasis on entrepreneurship. We are seeking candidates for an
assistant or associate professorship in the fields of Programming.

We are looking for individuals with a PhD in Computer Science with an outstanding
international research profile. Successful candidates will have published their work in
leading conference proceedings and journals and are passionate about teaching, preferably
also in an interdisciplinary context. Experience in teaching and in third-party funded
projects are a plus. The successful candidate will be part of the newly founded School of
Computer Science, which serves as the foundation for the Bachelor- and Master-degree
programs in Computer Science at the University of St.Gallen. The university searches for
candidates with a strong research background in one or more of the following topics:

• Modular and flexible Program Design
• Agile and Extreme Programming
• Continuous Integration, Development, and Delivery

We are looking for a team-oriented and committed colleague whose research activities offer
links to the established computer science chairs – especially to the chair of Software Systems
Programming and Development. For this position, we seek candidates as of February 1st
2020 or by mutual agreement.
