The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Water Resources Engineering beginning in August 2018. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising students, and attracting funded research. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications.


Applicants should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering. This position requires an earned doctorate with specialization in Water Resources and emphasis in sustainability. LEED certification and registration as a PE in any state are desirable.

The CETI hosts national and international conferences such as the Innovations in Construction, Asphalt and Transportation (ICAT) conference, and the International Construction Innovations Conference (ICIC) which provide opportunities to network and partner with influential business executives, political leaders and other academicians. The selected candidate will work with renowned faculty who have co-authored more than 25 textbooks. The selected candidate will also have unique opportunities to teach overseas through our study abroad programs in the UK, France, Egypt, Jordan and other destinations. The department currently has 15 full-time faculty positions and approximately 275 students. The University has invested in a new $80-million Engineering-Business Convergence Center, which will be home to the CEC Department beginning in fall 2019.
